Can you direct bill my insurance if I am not 100% covered in my benefits?
You are still eligible for direct billing even if only a percentage of your insurance will cover the costs. The remainder of the remaining balance will be paid by you at the end of your visit.
What if my insurance company or union is not on the list?
If you do not see your insurance company or union in our list, thou shall not worry. We are working on including more insurance companies in our system. For this time, we will provide you official receipt that you can send to your insurance company or union.
Do I need a physician's referral?
You do not need a physician's referral to avail massage treatment. However, your insurance company may require a physician's referral for us to be able to submit the claim for you. Please check with your insurance company for clarification.
Can you check how much I have left or if what my insurance covers?
We only submit claims to your insurer thereby we do not have access to your insurance policy. Please contact your insurer or log-in to your insurer's member portal to access your insurance policy.
Important notes:
a) Please contact your insurance company if you have any questions or concerns regarding your coverage.
b) Insurance direct billing is a privilege that is offered through third party entities such as Telus Health eClaims and ProviderConnect. As a result, Wood Buffalo Massage & Osteopathic Therapy Clinic Ltd. can only offer this privilege when these technologies, and the appropriate insurance systems are in working order. On the rare occasions when insurance systems or internet services experience a down-time, insurance companies reject the claim or benefits are maxed out or not fully covered where you need to pay a remaining balance, clients will be responsible for the full payment of any massage services received, and insurance receipts will be issued for submission to their insurance providers.
c) For CINUP clients under ACDEN Bee Clean, if you haven't submitted a massage claim with prescription to your insurance this benefit year, you will have to submit manually with your prescription if the direct bill claim does not go through. Usually, CINUP under ACDEN will only allow direct billing after the client has submitted a massage prescription.
For Manual Osteopathic Therapy Services, it is covered by most insurance companies but it is the patient's responsibility to know their policies.
At this time, Direct Billing is only available for the insurance companies:
Direct Billing Note: If you would like us to direct bill to your insurance (that are listed above), please verify with your insurance company if you need a doctor's referral.
Reimbursement is available to the following companies:
